Our Story
How we found CBD
We first tried CBD on our daughter when she was12 and suffering from runner’s back with a slight fracture on the L3, not uncommon in youth athletes, but very painful. The tincture we picked up was intended for sublingual use but we weren’t yet ready, comfortable or knowledgeable for this concept. Instead we applied this tincture topically over the affected area of her back, and it helped!
A couple years later when Grandpa was in hospice we gathered in Gramma’s kitchen brewing cannabis tea to help the discomfort and to ease his agitation. This worked so well, that the caregivers insisted we keep this brew coming. Our only regret is that we didn’t start administering the tea much sooner.
Moving forward, as Kalin’s equine bodywork practice grew so did her desire for additional remedies to benefit her work with the equine athletes, seniors and rescues. By now we knew from personal experiences that CBD can have profound health benefits to ease inflammation, pain, stress and recovery time, thus helping to heal and stay healthy. Seeking to find the most superior quality, organically grown CBD for both horse and rider led us to our organic Oregon sources.
At the end of 2021 we stepped into the roll of running the local gym, Cool Gym. With an on site retail hub, we share our knowledge of the fitness and recovery benefits of CBD with the gym community. We believe in the education behind CBD so you can shop for the highest quality product for your needs. Today, our family partners with premier Oregon CBD product developers, the labs behind the 3rd party testing, and we meet with the farmers on the pristine Oregon Illinois River and Willamette River valley lands on which these plants are developed and grown. From testing out new product concepts to collaborating on ideas, we are involved in the development and continuing education of the health benefits of CBD.
